RESTYLANE® 1ml

Restylane® effects generally last six months, gradually dissipating. If you are treated again at 4 ½ or 9 months after initial treatment, results can last up to 18 months.

• Restylane® fillers are indicated for mid-to-deep dermal implantation, to correct moderate to severe wrinkles and skin folds, including nasolabial folds.
• Restylane® is indicated for submucosal implantation for lip augmentation in patients over the age of 21.

Restylane® is a hyaluronic acid gel filler generated by Streptococcus species of bacteria, chemically crosslinked with BDDE, stabilized and suspended in phosphate buffered saline at pH=7 and concentration of 20 mg/mL.

• Restylane®, containing hyaluronic acid, is indicated for mid-to-deep dermal implantation for correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles, skin folds, and nasolabial folds.
• Injections greater than 1.5 mL per lip (upper or lower) per dermal fillers treatment session significantly increases the occurrence of moderate and severe injection site skin reactions.
• If a volume of more than 3 mL is needed to achieve optimal skin imperfection correction, a fol-low-up treatment session is recommended.

Contraindications:

• Restylane® is contraindicated for patients with severe allergies manifested by a history of anaphylaxis.
• Restylane® filler contains trace amounts of gram positive bacterial proteins and is contraindicated for patients with a history of allergies to such material.
• Restylane® is contraindicated for patients with bleeding disorders.
• Restylane® is contraindicated for implantation in anatomical spaces other than the dermis or submucosal region.

After-care:

• A cloth dipped in cold water (cold compress), wrung out, may be applied immediately following treatment, reducing swelling.
• Avoid touching the treated area within six hours following treatment to not accidentally injure your skin while numbness is present. Afterward, the area can be gently washed with soap and water.
• Until there is no redness or swelling, limit exposure of the treated area to intense heat (sun lamp or sun bathing).
• If you have previously had facial cold sores, a risk exists that the needle punctures in the skin could contribute to another occurrence. Consult your physician about medicine to prevent this from happening further.
• Eliminate aspirin, non-steroidal anti-Inflammatory medications, St. John’s Wort, and high doses of Vitamin E for one week after treatment, decreasing bruising and bleeding risk at injection site.
