RESTYLANE® SKINBOOSTERS™ VITAL with Lidocaine

Restylane® Skinboosters™ Vital Lidocaine is intended to improve the elasticity of the skin in the lower cheek/jawline in the face and upper neck. It should be injected in the dermal layer of the skin. The addition of lidocaine provides increased overall treatment comfort.

Restylane Skinboosters Vital Lidocaine is a sterile, transparent gel of stabilized of 20 mg/mL hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin with the addition of 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride. It is supplied in a glass syringe. The product has a built-in dose guide, Smart Click System, which when activated creates a clicking sound to indicate each injected dose. The 1 ml syringe gives approximately 100 doses. The contents of the syringe are sterilized using moist heat. The product is for single use only. Disposable 29G TW (thin-walled) needles, sterilized using ethylene oxide, are provided. To ensure traceability, the patient record label (part of syringe label) should be attached to patient records.

• Topical Anesthesia (Optional): As Restylane Skinboosters Vital Lidocaine already contains lidocaine, a topical anesthetic may not be necessary. However, the practitioner can use it for additional comfort upon the patient’s request. Apply the topical anesthetic cream 30-45 minutes before the procedure.
• Disinfection: Disinfect the treatment area to minimize infection risk.

Injection:

• Needle Selection: Use sterile needles with a size and length appropriate for intradermal injections (refer to product information). Common options include 30-gauge needles with lengths of 13mm to 25mm.
• Injection Technique: The primary technique for Restylane Skinboosters Vital Lidocaine is the blanching technique. Injections are made superficially into the papillary dermis using a slow injection rate. The goal is to create small, elevated wheals without blanching a large area. The injection pattern will vary depending on the desired outcome and targeted areas (e.g., face, neck, décolletage, hands).
• Injection Depth: The product should be injected superficially into the papillary dermis, avoiding deeper layers or blood vessels (refer to product information).
• Injection Volume: The amount of Restylane Skinboosters Vital Lidocaine used will vary depending on the degree of skin laxity, desired improvement, and treatment area. The product is administered in small aliquots with frequent massage between injections to ensure even distribution.
