Juvéderm Volift is an injectable, resorbable hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler from Allergan Laboratories. It helps erase deep skin folds and remodels the contours while restoring volumes of the face and lips.

Juvéderm Volift is indicated for:

• Treating deep skin depressions due to conditions such as premature aging.
• Face contouring and volume restoration to correct facial structural defects like asymmetry, contour deformities, and volume loss in various facial areas including lips, cheeks, chin, and lower face.
• Injection into the deep dermis or lips mucosa by an authorized medical practitioner.

Juvéderm Volift is a sterile pyrogen-free physiological solution of cross-linked hyaluronic acid, not of animal origin. It comes in graduated, pre-filled, disposable syringes. Each box contains two 0.55 mL Juvéderm Volift syringes, 4 single-use 30G1/2” sterile needles, an instruction leaflet, and a set of labels for traceability.

Here’s how to administer Juvéderm Volift:

• Inject into the dermis or mucous membrane of the lips by an authorized medical practitioner following local regulations.
• Use only by medical practitioners with appropriate training and experience in injection techniques for filling skin depressions, face contouring, and volume restoration.
• Use the supplied 30G1/2” needle or other appropriate sterile needles or cannulas based on the practitioner’s preferred technique.

Contraindications

Do not inject Juvéderm Volift in the periorbital area, glabellar region, or blood vessels. Avoid overcorrection. It must not be used in patients with untreated epilepsy, tendency to develop hypertrophic scarring, hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine, porphyria, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children. Avoid use in areas with cutaneous inflammatory or infectious processes. Avoid simultaneous use with laser treatment, deep chemical peels, or dermabrasion.

After-care

Post-treatment recommendations:

• Apply a cool compress for 10-15 minutes to minimize swelling and discomfort.
• Optional gentle massage of the treated area to distribute the product evenly and minimize swelling.
• Avoid strenuous activities and exposure to extreme temperatures for the next 2-4 days.
• Avoid other aesthetic procedures until the filler has integrated into the skin.
• Have a follow-up in 7-10 days to check the integration of the filler into the skin.
