Stylage® Bi-Soft® XL must be injected into the area to be treated, where they will generate volume. The products will then be resorbed slowly over time. The duration of the products depends on the patient’s skin type and the depth of injection.

A hyaluronic-acid injectable gel indicated for the restoration or augmentation of facial volume by injection into the deep dermis or subcutaneously. Lidocaine hydrochloride is intended to reduce the pain associated with the injection.

Stylage® Bi-Soft® XL is an injectable hyaluronic-acid volumiser specifically designed to restore facial contours which have been lost over time. By restoring facial volume, This formulation provides a more harmonious balance to the facial features by recontouring the cheeks, cheekbones, chin, and jawline for a fuller, softer, more youthful appearance. Stylage® Bi-Soft® XL can also help treat skin sagging. Use Stylage® in the deep dermis or subcutaneous. Contains lidocaine, a powerful anaesthetic, for a more comfortable injection.

• Methods of injection:
  • Slowly inject into the area indicated, using the sterile needle provided/the cannula chosen. It is recommended to use the technique of linear threading injection, multi-point injection, or a combination of both techniques.
  • Consider the presence of lidocaine hydrochloride in the product Stylage® XL Lidocaïne.
  • If an injection is too deep, the effectiveness of the correction will be reduced. If an injection is too superficial, discolouration of the skin or slight indurations may appear or the correction may be irregular.
  • The amount to be injected depends on the skin defect to be corrected. Only the practitioner can define the dose to be injected for obtaining an optimal correction.
  • Do not over-correct. In the event of over-correction, small indurations or irregular correction may appear.
  • It is advised not to use more than 2.0 ml per treated area in a single session, and not to inject more than 20 ml of cross-linked hyaluronic-acid per person per year.
  • If the needle/cannula is blocked, do not increase the pressure required for injection. Replace the needle/cannula.
  • After the injection, do not apply a cold pack; massage the treated area well to optimize the uniformity of the correction.

Contraindications:

• The products must not be used:
  • In combination with a peeling, laser treatment, or dermabrasion. The practitioner shall decide upon the necessary waiting period after these treatments before the injection;
  • In areas where the skin is thin (e.g. the forehead and the periorbital region, including the eyelids, the under-eye shadows, the crow’s feet), in areas where the vascular system is exposed (e.g. the glabellar region) and in the lips;
  • In patients with a tendency to develop hypertrophic scars;
  • In patients with a known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients;
  • In women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or in children;
  • In areas, or near areas, with inflammatory or infectious skin problems (acne, herpes, etc.).
• Furthermore, Stylage® XL must not be used:
  • In patients with a known hypersensitivity to amide-type local anaesthetics;
  • In patients with porphyria.

After-care:

• Recommend using a sunscreen with a high protection factor during the two weeks following treatment.
• Advise the patient not to wear make-up during the 12 hours following the injection and avoid exposing the treated area to intense heat (UV, sauna, steam room) or extreme cold, at least until any potential post-injection swelling or redness disappear.
• Recommend that the patient avoid any massage or compression of the injected area for the first 3 days after the injection.
• Recommend that the patient avoid the sauna, steam room, and vigorous sports during the first week after injection.
