PLASMOLIFTING™ PRP GEL

Depending on its application, PRP injections are given in two to ten sessions in intervals of seven to ten days.

Plasmolifting PRP Gel is designed to be used to centrifuge patient’s blood to obtain autologous Plasmogel. When used in aesthetic dermatology, this nourishing gel is indicated for the following dermal concerns:

• Wrinkles, nasolabial folds, perioral lines, periorbital lines, and forehead lines.
• Unintentional loss of facial volume, especially in the mid-face region (cheeks and cheekbones).
• Lack of defined facial contours like cheekbones, chin, lips, and jawlines.
• Acne scars.
• Skin laxity caused by gradual weakening of underlying skin structure.

This package provides tubes specially designed for processing whole blood samples taken from a patient to obtain autologous PRP, a material with demonstrated tissue repair capabilities. The protocol used with this product is simplified with a single centrifugation step so that it can be accomplished quickly and easily without the need for expensive medical lab equipment.

The Plasmolifting protocol is divided into three phases:

1. Venous blood sampling
   1. Prepare the patient for blood collection by disinfecting the venipuncture site and applying a tourniquet.
   2. Attach the needle into the vacutainer holder.
   3. Place the Plasmolifting PRP tube in the vacutainer holder.
   4. Insert the needle into a vein.
   5. Push the tube in the sheathed end of the needle to begin blood collection into the vacutainer.
   6. Draw 9 milliliters of blood from the patient.
   7. Complete blood sampling by removing the tourniquet and withdrawing the needle.
   8. Apply a bandage or clean gauze and tape to the site.
   9. Dispose of the needle and holder, and other used consumables.
2. Centrifugation
   1. Invert the tube five to six times to ensure proper mixing of the blood with the tube additive.
   2. Create a “balance” tube by filling an empty tube with an equal volume of water to the sample tube. This tube should be placed at the opposite end of the sample tube in the centrifuge.
   3. Perform centrifugation for five minutes at 4000rpm in a fixed-angle rotor centrifuge.
   4. After the centrifugation step, the blood sample should form distinct and segregated layers: a layer of clear fluid (Platelet-poor plasma – PPP), a second layer of PRP, a thin layer of “buffy coat”, the separating gel and lastly the red fraction made of red blood cells.
   5. The desired layer is drawn with a syringe, ready to be used on the patient.
3. Treatment administration
   1. The prepared, autologously derived PRP suspension is administered to the desired treatment area through injections with a 30G medical disposable needle.

Contraindications:

Plasmolifting is an extremely safe skin rejuvenating therapy. Since the PRP is extracted from the patient’s own blood, this ensures total biocompatibility and very minimal risk of allergic and rejection reactions. Though, all patients except the following with contraindicating conditions as listed below can be treated using this non-toxic and non-surgical unique regenerative method:

• Known hypersensitivity to anticoagulants like heparin
• Malignant growths
• Mental illness
• Acute infectious diseases
• Systemic blood disorders

After-care:

After PRP therapy, patients may experience certain injection-related reactions at the treated site, such as swelling, inflammation, bruising, tenderness, and itching. These effects should subside and resolve within a few days.
