WEGOVY® FLEXTOUCH® 2.4mg (Italian)

WEGOVY® 2.4mg is designed for patients who have completed the dose-escalation phase and are ready for full-dose, long-term weight maintenance.

• Delivers 2.4 mg semaglutide per 0.5 mL once weekly (maintenance dose)

• Supplied in single-dose FlexTouch® pens for subcutaneous injection

• Helps promote and maintain clinically significant weight loss

• Targets appetite centers in the brain to reduce hunger, cravings, and portion size

• Used alongside dietary changes and physical activity

WEGOVY® 2.4mg is indicated for chronic weight management in:

• Adults with obesity (BMI ≥30 kg/m²)

• Adults with overweight (BMI ≥27 kg/m²) and at least one weight-related comorbidity (e.g. hypertension, dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes)

Treatment should always be combined with a low-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

Contraindications:

• Known hypersensitivity to semaglutide or its excipients

• Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC)

• Diagnosis of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding

• Not indicated for pediatric use

Potential Side Effects:

• Very common (>10%): Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain

• Common (1–10%): Headache, fatigue, reflux, hair loss, dizziness

• Uncommon to rare: Pancreatitis, gallstones, kidney injury, serious allergic reactions, suicidal ideation

This maintenance-dose pen is a ready-to-use, pre-filled disposable device designed for easy subcutaneous self-injection. Unlike multi-dose pens, the 2.4mg pen is single-use only and contains one dose per pen.

Packaging:

• One single-use FlexTouch® pen containing 0.5 mL solution

• Each pen delivers one dose of 2.4mg semaglutide

• Includes needle-free pen; compatible with NovoFine® Plus needles

Ingredients:

• Active substance: Semaglutide 2.4 mg per 0.5 mL

• Excipients: Disodium phosphate dihydrate, propylene glycol, phenol, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, water for injection

Patients using the 2.4mg pen have already gone through a 16-week escalation period. This dose is maintained weekly as part of the long-term therapeutic plan. Injections should be done subcutaneously and preferably on the same day of the week, with or without meals.

Administration Guidelines:

• Inject 2.4 mg (0.5 mL) once per week (ongoing)

• Injection sites: Abdomen, thigh, or upper arm (rotate weekly)

• Use a new needle for each injection

• Dispose of pen after one use (single-dose pen)

Missed Dose:

• If the dose is missed and it has been ≤5 days, administer it immediately

• If >5 days have passed, skip the dose and resume the next scheduled injection

Storage Instructions:

• Refrigerate before use (2–8°C)

• May be stored at ≤30°C for up to 28 days

• Protect from light and do not freeze

• Store without the needle attached
