WEGOVY® FLEXTOUCH® 0.5mg (Italian)

This 0.5mg strength supports continued therapy as part of a structured titration plan to safely reach the full therapeutic dose (2.4mg). It promotes gradual weight loss and better long-term tolerance.

WEGOVY® 0.5mg is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with:

• Obesity (BMI ≥30 kg/m²)

• Overweight (BMI ≥27 kg/m²) with at least one associated comorbidity (e.g. type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia)

Therapy must be combined with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for optimal results.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to semaglutide or excipients

• Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or family history of MTC

• MEN2 syndrome

• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Potential Side Effects:

• Very common (>10%): Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain

• Common (1–10%): Headache, fatigue, dizziness, reflux, hair loss, injection site reactions

• Uncommon to rare (<1%): Gallstones, acute pancreatitis, kidney injury, allergic reactions

WEGOVY® FLEXTOUCH® 0.5mg is a ready-to-use pre-filled pen containing a clear, colorless solution. The device is engineered for simple, safe self-administration and is compatible with NovoFine® Plus disposable needles.

Packaging:

• FlexTouch® pre-filled pen with 1.5 mL total volume

• Delivers four doses of 0.5 mg (0.5 mL each)

• Requires use of a new needle for each injection

Ingredients:

• Active substance: Semaglutide 0.5 mg per dose

• Excipients: Disodium phosphate dihydrate, propylene glycol, phenol, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, water for injection

This dose is part of the gradual titration process and should only be used after completing 4 weeks of the 0.25mg dose. Injections are given once weekly, on the same day each week, and may be administered with or without food.

Administration Instructions:

• Inject 0.5 mg (0.5 mL) subcutaneously once a week for weeks 5–8

• Rotate injection sites between abdomen, thigh, and upper arm

• Use only under the guidance of a healthcare provider

• Do not share pens or reuse needles

Missed Dose:

• If within 5 days, take the missed dose as soon as possible

• If more than 5 days, skip the missed dose and continue with the next scheduled injection

Storage Guidelines:

• Before first use: Refrigerate at 2–8°C

• After opening: Store at ≤30°C for up to 8 weeks

• Keep away from light and do not freeze

• Dispose of the pen after using all four doses
