DERMALAX™ DEEP PLUS with Lidocaine

Dermalax Deep Plus is much denser than the previous two preparations, with an HA content of 24 mg/ml. It is suitable for filling medium and deep wrinkles, including “sadness folds” and lip-chin lines, and restoring lost volume. As in the previous case, the gel is injected into the middle or deep layer of the skin.

Dermalax Deep Plus injection filler is used to treat mid-face wrinkles, lip contour, and volume. It is indicated for;

• Filling the middle-medial part of the face, lip-chin fold, and sunken cheeks;
• Restoration of eyebrow volume, volumetry, and face contouring;
• Lip augmentation;
• Superficial correction of atrophy of the temporal fossa tissues;
• Filling the middle-medial portion of the face.

Dermalax Deep Plus with Lidocaine is a filler made from non-animal stabilized 24 mg/ml Hyaluronic acid and 0.3% Lidocaine. The medicine is introduced smoothly thanks to the constant ejection force. It is injected into the mid and deep dermis.

The preparation has been completely cleared of BDDE, thanks to which it is characterized by a high level of safety for the patient. The content of the anesthetic – lidocaine 0.3% increases the patient’s comfort during the procedure.

Cannula technique:

The use of a cannula for filler injection is a popular technique due to its advantages in terms of safety and comfort for the patient.

1. The area to be treated is cleaned, and a topical anesthetic may be applied to numb the skin.
2. Pilot Hole Creation: A small needle is used to create an entry point for the cannula. This is usually done at a strategic location that allows the practitioner to treat a large area from one access point.
3. Cannula Insertion: The cannula, which is longer and more flexible than a traditional needle, is then inserted into the hole. Because the cannula has a blunt tip, it is less likely to cause vascular damage, reducing the risk of bruising and discomfort.
4. Filler Injection: The filler is then injected through the cannula. The flexibility of the cannula allows it to navigate around vessels and tissues with minimal trauma.
5. Massage: After the filler is injected, massage the area to distribute the filler and smooth the skin.
6. Fanning technique and cross-hatching technique are also popular techniques used when covering larger areas and deep dermal injections.

Contraindications

Despite the safety of Dermalax fillers, the injections should not be used on minors and pregnant women, and there are several other contraindications to be aware of, as well.

Contraindications for Dermalax:

• Tendency to keloids;
• Intolerance to HA or lidocaine;
• Diabetes mellitus, disruption of the endocrine system;
• Breastfeeding;
• Oncology;
• Bronchial asthma;
• Couperosis and inflammation of the perineum;
• Autoimmune and infectious diseases;
• Problems with blood coagulation;
• Presence of herpes, burns, and wounds in the area of introduction.

After-care

Dermalax fillers are perfectly absorbed and guarantee an optimal result if the patient has no bad habits and observes a post-injection regime.

After the treatment session, it is recommended to:

• Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol for 14 days;
• Avoid solariums, spa salons, baths, and other places with temperature changes and UV radiation;
• Engage in intensive sports no sooner than a full week after the session.
