OZEMPIC® 1mg

Ozempic® is an injectable prescription medicine indicated for the treatment of adults with insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise.

Ozempic® is indicated as:

• An adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
• To reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.

The active ingredient in Ozempic® is semaglutide. Inactive ingredients include dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, propylene glycol, phenol, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and water for injections.

Contraindications:

• Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or in patients with MEN 2.
• Serious hypersensitivity reaction to semaglutide or any of the excipients in Ozempic®.
• Discontinue Ozempic® in women at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy.

After-care:

• Store your pen in use for 56 days at room temperature or in a refrigerator.
• Take Ozempic® 1 time each week, on the same day each week, at any time of the day.
• If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible within 5 days after the missed dose.
• Stay on your prescribed diet and exercise program while using Ozempic®.
• Your healthcare provider will check your diabetes with regular blood tests.
• Do not share your Ozempic® pen with other people.
