Restylane® fillers are indicated for injection into the mid-to-deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe, deep
facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds) in patients over the age of 21. It is also indicated for
injection into the mid-to-deep dermis (subcutaneous and/or supraperiosteal) for augmentation of the chin region
to improve the chin profile in patients with mild to moderate chin retrusion over the age of 21.

• As you age, your facial skin begins to lose its elasticity and volume, resulting in more pronounced “laugh
  lines”.
• Restylane® injectable filler gel is designed to temporarily smooth out these wrinkles and folds, restoring a
  natural, soft look to your face.
• It may also be used for augmentation of the chin region to improve the chin profile in certain patients.
• Restylane® Defyne has been shown to maintain its effect for up to 12 months.

This Restylane® filler formultion is a sterile, biodegradable, viscoelastic, non-pyrogenic, clear, colorless, and homogeneous
soft hyaluronic acid gel crosslinked with BDDE. It contains 20 mg/mL sodium hyaluronate and 3 mg/mL lidocaine
hydrochloride.

Injection:

• Needle Selection: Use sterile needles appropriate for the targeted area and depth.
• Injection Technique: The primary technique is the linear threading technique, depositing the product in small
  aliquots along the wrinkles or folds.
• Injection Depth: Inject into the mid to deep dermis, avoiding superficial dermis or blood vessels.
• Injection Volume: The amount used varies depending on the severity of wrinkles and desired correction.

Post-treatment:

• Cooling: Apply a cool compress to minimize swelling and discomfort.
• Massage (Optional): Gentle massage of the treated area might help distribute the product evenly and minimize
  swelling.
• Results: Optimal results typically take 2-4 weeks to become fully visible as the product integrates into the
  tissue.

Additional Considerations:

• The number of treatment sessions and the interval between them can vary depending on the patient’s needs and
  desired outcome.
• Restylane® Defyne can be combined with other aesthetic procedures.
• Potential side effects like temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, and injection site
  irregularities can occur.

Contraindications:

• Before using Restylane® Defyne fillers, discuss your medical history with your doctor to determine if you are an
  appropriate candidate for treatment.
• Contraindications include severe allergies with a history of anaphylaxis, allergies to lidocaine or bacterial
  proteins, and uncertainty about medical history concerning these allergies.

After-care:

Your doctor will provide instructions for post-treatment care, which may include:

• Applying cold compresses to reduce swelling immediately after treatment.
• Avoiding touching the treated area for six hours post-treatment.
• Avoiding certain medications and activities that may increase bruising or bleeding.
• Avoiding strenuous exercise and excessive heat, sun, or UV exposure for the first 24 hours.
