AZELAC PEEL EXFOLIATING GEL is a chemical peel designed for acne-prone skin, redness, folliculitis, hyperpigmentation, and photoaging. It has a pH range of 2.5 – 3.5 and contains azelaic acid, lactic acid, and Silybum marianum extract (silymarin).
This peel is indicated for various skin conditions including:
- Skin blemishes
- Acne (controls bacterial growth, excess sebum, and reactive oxygen species)
- Rosacea and couperosis
- Hyperkeratosis
- Photoaging (controls the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles)
AZELAC PEEL EXFOLIATING GEL’s key ingredients have the following properties:
- Azelaic acid: Sebum regulation, keratin normalization, bacteriostatic effects, pigment regulation, and inhibition of reactive oxygen species.
- Lactic acid: Exfoliation and skin renewal.
- Silymarin extract: Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-redness properties.
AZELAC PEEL EXFOLIATING GEL is used in conjunction with other peels for skin rejuvenation. Here are the application instructions for various skin conditions:
- Moderate Acne – Sensitive Skin: Apply 1-2 layers of Azelac M, then seal with Retises Nanopeel 1% gel.
- Anticuperosis: Apply 1-2 layers of Azelac M followed by Azelac Hydrating Gel.
- Antiwrinkles, Slight to Moderate Wrinkles, Reactive Skin: Apply 2 layers of Azelac M, followed by Azelac RU, and Retises Nanopeel 1% gel.
- Depigmentation, Moderate Blotches: Apply 2 coats of Azelac M, followed by 2 coats of Azelac RU, additional coats of Azelac RU on the lesion, and finally a fine coat of Azelac peel exfoliating gel.
The gel formulation is best applied with a flat brush, spreading it evenly on the skin for optimal results.
