Teosyal® RHA 3 can smooth out deeper wrinkles whilst still maintaining a natural look. RHA 3 can also be used to volumize lips. The protocol will depend on the area being injected.

• For deep wrinkles, especially nasolabial folds
• For correction of smaller volume defects
• Lip volume

Teosyal® RHA 3 is an injectable dermal filler composed of cross-linked, non-animal hyaluronic acid (HA). It’s designed for deeper layers of the skin to address significant wrinkles and facial volumization. The presence of lidocaine helps minimize discomfort during injection.

Injection:

• Use sterile needles with size and length appropriate for targeted area and depth according to Teosyal® RHA 3 product information.
• Optimal injection technique depends on the specific wrinkle or area being addressed. Here are some possibilities:
  • Linear threading for wrinkle correction, lifting, or volumization.
  • Bolus technique for deep injections and significant volumization.
• Inject into the deep dermis or subcutis depending on the desired outcome.
• Avoid superficial dermis or blood vessels.
• Start with a low volume and gradually increase if needed for optimal results.

Contraindications:

• Advise your doctor in case of known hypersensitivity to Hyaluronic Acid, with a history of severe allergy or anaphylactic shock.
• TEOSYAL® RHA 3 contains 0.3% of lidocaine. Advise your doctor for guidance in case of:
  • Known hypersensitivity, allergy to lidocaine and/or local anesthetics of the amide type;
  • Athletes: lidocaine can induce a positive reaction to anti-doping tests;
  • Heart diseases and/or patient under treatment for heart disease (beta-blockers).
• TEOSYAL® RHA 3 must not be used:
  • for injections other than intradermal,
  • in combination with peeling, laser or ultrasound-based treatments,
  • if the patient has cutaneous disorders, inflammation or infection at or near the treatment site,
  • in the case of patients having a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, with a history of severe allergy or anaphylactic shock,
  • in the case of known hypersensitivity to lidocaine and/or amide local anaesthetic agents,
  • in the case of patients having a known hypersensitivity to one of the excipients of the supplemented phosphate buffer,
  • in the case of patients with autoimmune diseases,
  • in the case of patients with cardiac diseases and/or undergoing treatment for heart diseases (beta blockers),
  • in the case of patients with hepatocellular insufficiency and/or undergoing treatment for liver disease,
  • in pregnancy, breastfeeding mothers, or in children.

After-care:

Post-treatment (For Medical Practitioners):

• Inform patients of potential side effects like temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, and injection site irregularities.
• Advise patients to:
  • Apply cool compresses to the treated area for swelling reduction (10-15 minutes).
  • Avoid strenuous activity for the first 24-48 hours.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure, saunas, or hammams for the first week.
  • Avoid makeup application for the first 12 hours (optional).
  • Discuss any concerns or complications promptly.
• Schedule follow-up appointments to monitor results and address any concerns.
