WEGOVY® FLEXTOUCH 1mg (Danish)

Wegovy™ is given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous injection). Wegovy™ is supplied as a clear and colourless solution for injection in a pre-filled pen. Wegovy™ comes in the following dosage forms:

• Carton of 4 single-use, disposable, pre-filled pens delivering doses of 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg (0.5 mL solution).
• Carton of 1 multi-use, disposable, pre-filled pen delivering doses of 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg (1.5 mL solution for 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg pens; 3 mL solution for 1 mg pen).

Usual Dose:

• Recommended dose: 2.4 mg once weekly.
• Starting dose: 0.25 mg once weekly, gradually increased over 16 weeks.
• Gradual dose increase every 4 weeks until reaching 2.4 mg once weekly.

Wegovy™ is used for chronic weight management in adults with:

• BMI of 30 kg/m² or greater (obesity), or
• BMI of 27 kg/m² to less than 30 kg/m² (overweight) and weight-related health problems.

Wegovy™ is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. It mimics a natural hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1, causing a feeling of fullness and reducing hunger. Must be used along with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

• Administered as a subcutaneous injection.
• Do not inject into a vein or muscle.
• Inject once weekly at the same time.
• Rotate injection sites.
• Accompanied by a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

Contraindications:

• Allergy to semaglutide or any ingredients.
• History of medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) or MEN 2.
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Not to be used as a substitute for insulin.

After-care:

• Regular assessment by a doctor.
• Do not stop without consulting a doctor.

Overdose:

• If overdose occurs, contact a doctor immediately.
• Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or hypoglycemia.

Missed Dose:

• If missed dose is within 5 days, use as soon as remembered.
• If more than 5 days, skip the missed dose.
• Do not double dose.
